Ebony Morrison represented Liberia in round one of the Paris2024 women’s 100mH. The two-time Olympian and African Champion will get another chance to make the semifinals tomorrow, during the repechage round, since she did not place top 18 in round one.

Morrison is Liberia’s record holder(12.70) in the 100mH and a member of the national-record-setting 4×100 women’s relay team(42.93). She’s had a phenomenal season in both events. As for today’s performance, Morrison remains optimistic as she prepares for her next race.
“I went out there, I felt good, I produced what I was able to produce today, I get another chance tomorrow, and keep the ball rolling, that’s it,” Morrison told Go Team Liberia.

What’s next
The repechage round starts 8, August at 10:35 a.m. World Athletics introduced this new round for the Paris2024 Games. It gives sprinters and hurdlers another opportunity to qualify for the semifinals. Morrison will run in heat two, lane four. There will be three heats in total, and six hurdlers will join the other 18 in the semifinals, which will be held Friday 9, August.
Fans expect Morrison to advance past the next round. Regardless, the popular runner has already won over Liberians and others around the world with her exceptional talent and positive attitude.
“When I start to freak out a little bit, I talk to my grandma, and my grandma always says, ‘Baby, just do your best and let God handle the rest,’ and that’s just what I’m doing,” Morrison said. “I’m on a beautiful journey and it’s always a blessing to be able to represent Liberia on the world stage. And I’m just doing it over and over again, so no matter what, I know I’m blessed.”
