Liberia has eight track athletes competing in six events, during the Paris2024 Olympic Games. The meets start on Friday 2, August, and continue until Saturday 10, August. It will take place at Stade de France, the largest stadium in France, and home to the most coveted sporting events and shows. France built the structure to host the World Cup in 1998.

Spectators who want to watch the races in person can purchase tickets online at the official ticketing site. Otherwise, fans can tune into LNTV in Liberia or check their local listing. Viewers should consider that Paris is two hours ahead of Liberia and six hours ahead of New York.

Team Liberia Paris2024 Schedule | Women’s 100m: Friday 2, Aug.

Destiny Smith-Barnett (28) and Thelma Davies(24) will make their Olympic debut and represent Liberia in the women’s 100m race on Friday 2, August. Both women have ran their personal best this season.

Smith-Barnett ran a 10.99 in June and holds Liberia’s national record in the women’s 100m race. On the other hand, Davies qualified for the Games when she ran 11.01 in May. Both runners won a bronze medal in the women’s 4x100m relay at the 2024 African Championships.

Men’s 100m: Saturday 3, Aug.

Emmanuel Matadi (33), Liberia’s fastest man, holds the men’s 100m national record and will compete in the men’s 100m race on Saturday 3, August.

Matadi made his first Olympic appearance at the Rio Games in 2016, and competed at the Tokyo 2020 Games as well. Paris 2024 is his third Game, and he’s currently ranked 15 in the world.

Women’s 200m: Sunday 4, Aug.

Davies is scheduled to run the women’s 200m race for Liberia on Sunday 4, August. This will be her second event at the Paris Games. See full women’s 200m schedule below.

Men’s 200m: Monday 5, Aug.

Joseph Fahnbulleh (22) is scheduled to compete in one of the most anticipated races of the week — the men’s 200m. He will take to the track on Monday 5, August, to race in round one.

Fahnbulleh recently became the men’s 200m African champ and is ranked 11th in the world. In 2021, he made it to the Tokyo Olympics men’s 200m finals and placed fifth during his Olympic debut.

Women’s 100mH: Wednesday 7, Aug.

Ebony Morrison (29) is competing in her second Olympic Game , she was part of the trio that represented Liberia in Tokyo. She advanced to the semifinals in Tokyo and is the women’s 100mH national record holder. Morrison is the 2024 women’s 100 meter hurdles African champ, and will take to the track on Wednesday 7, August, to compete in this event.

In addition to being a well-decorated hurdler, Morrison also won a bronze medal at the African Championships as a member of the women’s 4x100m relay team.

Men’s 4x100m Relay: Thursday 8, Aug.

The men’s 4×100 relay team will race on Thursday 8, August. New comers Jabez Reeves (21) and John Sherman (19) will join Matadi and Fahnbulleh for their Olympic debut. Akeem Sirleaf (27) competed with the team when they qualified at the Bahamas relay, but due to an injury he will serve as an alternate.

Liberia hasn’t had a relay team qualify for the Olympics since the Sydney Games in 2000. However, Liberia’s first men’s relay team debuted at the 1956 Games which took place in Melbourne, Australia. The organization has yet to produce a women’s relay Olympic Team.
