Go Team Liberia received an invitation from the French Embassy in Liberia to celebrate Bastille Day, a French national holiday on Friday July 14.

GTL’s technical coordinator Tunde Thomas, who also works for United Bank for Africa, attended the event which marks the start of the French Revolution in 1789. On this date in history, revolutionaries stormed the Bastille prison. They released seven prisoners and the French Revolution began.

Her Excellency Madam Isabelle Le Guellec extended the invitation to GTL knowing that the organization is traveling to Paris to cover the Olympic Games from July 26 to August 10.
