Liberia ended its appearance at the U20 World Athletics Championships on day one.
Two months prior to the U20 World Championships, Liberia sent a large team to the CAA Region II U-18 and U-20 Championships in Ghana. At the regional event, Tarawally was able to place third in the men’s u-18 100m finals. His teammate Arthur Quaqua finished second overall.
At the African regional, Tarawally and Quaqua ran an 11.29 and 11.02 respectively. However, it appears these times have not been officially recognized by World Athletics.
